A founding member of the Barrels Community Market in down- town Waterville, David is an entrepreneur, community developer and shopkeeper-activist dedicated to supporting local farms and building a strong sustainable economy in rural Maine. He’ll be coming down with some of his co-conspirators to talk about Meridians, the new store that he opened this year to sell local wine, beer and food, as well as his latest project, currently titled HubBub, a co-working space and recording studio that will be opening soon in downtown Fairfield.
In addition, some of David’s colleagues will be coming as well:
Emilie Knight: A child food educator and cook, working to establish a central kitchen and workshop at the Hub.
Ben Rooney: Farmer and Fermenter. Supplier of foods to the Hub, and food processor.
Leslie Benson: Architect and designer working on the plans for the Hub.
Robbie Alden: Natural Builder and Contractor who will be leading the renovations.
All are welcome! Kid friendly!
