He is currently focused on bringing GPCLT’s first affordable housing project in Portland to fruition.

Bobby brings 10 years of experience supporting marginalized communities in navigating complex housing systems to obtain housing stability. He holds a deep understanding of local, State, and Federal affordable housing programs and various low income financial assistance programs. As a result of his work, he brings strong statewide relationships with property owners, housing authorities, and various nonprofits focused on affordable housing development and management. After spending time working with the skilled team at The Cooperative Development Institute, Bobby also brings a comprehensive understanding of shared equity models of housing ownership and stewardship. When not working, you can find Bobby enjoying the great Maine outdoors and spending quality time with his family. He currently lives in Westbrook with his wife, two kids, and two dogs.

Sarah Louden

Born and raised in Maine, Sarah spent much of her twenties living in New York City and Chicago, before moving back to her hometown of Portland. Over the last decade, she clocked the most hours in the craft coffee industry; teaching ESL/ELL students; and working for various non-profits (currently she works in education). When not at work, she's likely to be at home with 1-2 cats either cooking or watching a movie; reading at the beach; or helping to organize for the next fight at the ballot box. Sarah is most proud of the tenant rights and rent control protections she helped to fight for and to maintain alongside many other renters in Portland; she's excited to learn and to explore less traditional methods for securing safe, stable, and permanently affordable housing in her community.

Shelby Chambers-Damon

Shelby currently works as a mortgage credit underwriter with more than a decade in the finance industry. Born and raised in Portland, Maine, she is determined to boost homeownership in her community by teaching financial literacy and creating access to affordable housing through the Greater Portland Community Land Trust. She is a long-time volunteer of the Red Cross and the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring the outdoors with her son, husband, and dog, Reign.

Lado Lodoka

In Memory of Lado Lodoka

Our Board and our community has suffered a great loss with the recent tragic death of Lado Lodoka. Lado joined our Greater Portland Community Land Trust Board in the summer of 2022, where he shared his expertise in housing and community organizing. He helped identify over 60 families who showed an interest in buying a home in our Robinia Commons affordable housing project, and then worked to create a PowerPoint presentation to explain to them how a Community Land Trust operates to keep homes affordable in perpetuity to low to moderate income families like theirs. I and the Board relied on Lado’s thoughtful advice as we navigated through numerous difficult issues. We will miss his humor, hearty laugh and beaming smile. In addition to his contributions to GPCLT, Lado was the Director of the Maine Immigrant Housing Coalition and active in registering voters. He did all this and more while being a caring father raising four young boys. We convey our deepest sympathy to his family.
